I have tried instant press, Movuca, KPax, Tinywebsite, web2cms and I was impressed the most with Tinywebsite. Movuca and instant press 2 are impressive apps, but I believe, there are too complex to build on them for a novice developer.
Tinywebsite is built in simple way but contains number of features and is easy enough to expand and modify to your own requirements.
